Day 1 Arrive at Uluru (Ayers Rock) +Kata Tjuta (Olgas) + Uluru sunset
Meet and greet by tour guide at Airport and transfer to hotel check in and lunch at your own expense.
Pick up from your hotel April-October, 2:30PM, November-March 3:30PM. Pick and travel to Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. Kata Tjuta is 40 square kilometers wide, and consists of 36 domes of different sizes, it is the most sacred place for Anangu men. Enjoy a panoramic view of the 36 domes from the dune viewing platform on the way, and then walking on the track along Walpa Gorge for an hour between the two tallest domes of Kata Tjuta.
Transfer to Uluru Sunset Viewing area, enjoying a glass of sparkling wine and some snacks, while enjoying the most magnificent Uluru at sunset. Return to the resort after sunset.
Day 2 Uluru Sunrise + Basewalk +Aboriginal Cultural Centre + Kuniya Walk and Mutitjulu Waterhole+ Sounds of Silence
Travel to the sunrise viewing area, Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, while your guide shares the history of the sacred sites along the way that form the foundation of Anangu life and culture.
Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and watch the first sunlight of the day creep across the desert planes. You'll be captivated by the view from the dunes as the morning sun rises and slowly changes the colour of Uluru.
Touring around the base of Uluru, including a guided walk into Mutitjulu Waterhole.
View Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the flora, fauna and Aboriginal history from your Driver Guide. Continue around the base of Uluru by coach and see various sacred areas.
Visit the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre where there is time to learn about Tjukurpa (Aboriginal law) or purchase some locally made Aboriginal art. Return to Ayers Rock Resort for breakfast or free activities.
1 hour prior to sunset, Gather at the resort and board the Sounds of Silence Shuttle bus for a journey of 4 hours of fantastic outback night dining experience. Your Sounds of Silence experience begins with canapés and chilled sparkling wine served on a viewing platform overlooking the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. As the sun sets and darkness falls, listen to the sound of a didgeridoo and join your table for an unforgettable dining experience and an introduction to Aboriginal culture with a traditional dance performance under the outback sky.
Our attentive staff will keep your glass full with a quality selection of Australian wine and beer while first course is served. As the night sky twinkles to life, help yourself to a bush tucker inspired buffet that incorporates native bush ingredients such as crocodile, kangaroo, barramundi.
Settle back and listen to our resident star talker decode the southern night sky. Locate the Southern Cross, the signs of the zodiac, the Milky Way, as well as planets and galaxies that are visible due to the exceptional clarity of the atmosphere. After dinner, enjoy dessert with a glass of port, tea or coffee.
Day 3 Uluru-desert camel tour-transfer to airport and fly home
After breakfast, you can try some adventurous tours like scenic helicopter tour or Harley Motor Ride (own cost optional) Check out hotel before 10am and transfer to Camel farm for a 1.5 hour Camel Express ride on the red sands of Red Centre. Transfers to airport and fly back home.
